Conclusion
-
Climate changes increase the precipitation extremes, especially have effects on the flood. According to the flood frequency analysis with records in recent years, the estimated discharge rates have shown a significant rising tendency due to climate changes, which indicates flood will be more severe and more frequent. Historic floodplain boundaries are not enough to reflect accurate floodplain lines based on out-of-date data, which enables many risk analyses to lose the credibility. Developing a new floodplain map based on the records in recent years is one of the main purposes of this project in order to identify the deviation caused by climate changes.

There are many residential areas should be considered as flood risk areas based on the comparison of historic floodplain maps and new computer-based floodplain maps.
